      Pistol and Rifle Ranges

There are nine (9) different shooting bays at Cedar Ridge Range.  Each bay has a covered roof (corrugated tin) for shade and rain protection. All Bays have a concrete slab under shooting positions.  Each firing point on the bays has concrete bench and sitting furniture. Bays are separated from each other by high dirt side berms to allow for additional shooter safety and to allow shooters on each bay to operate independently during "Cease Fire" periods.

There is extensive parking near the bays. In most cases, shooters can park within 15 feet directly behind their assigned shooting points.

The bays all orient roughly facing toward a south to southwest direction which can put the sun in conflict (in your eyes) during winter months especially late in the day. During all other times of the year the sun's position is of little effect.

Many of the bays have good ground vegetation but newer bays (5,6,7 &8) have yet to fully develop and will produce some mud and water pooling during strong rain periods.

Shooters are assigned firing points (Bays) based on the intended style of shooting (type and firearm) and required distance needed while working to cooperate with other shooters and club events.  Efforts are made to allow shooters to have unoccupied bay to themselves when possible but this is NOT GUARANTEED and may not be possible due to other requirements. Bays 4,5,6,7&8 are used by the various competitive shooting clubs on the weekends and may have limited availability.
